Honoring Mike Howell: Introducing the Mike Howell Scholarship Fund

At Promise Landing Farm, we were all deeply saddened by the loss of our esteemed founding Board Member, Mike Howell, in October 2023 who passed away at the age of 59.

Mike was not only a dedicated advocate for our mission of inclusion but also a pivotal figure in the DC commercial construction industry and a Board Member of the Taishoff Family Foundation. His passion and commitment to ensuring individuals of all abilities could benefit from our equine therapy programs left an lasting mark on our organization.

In recognition of Mike Howell's profound impact, we are proud to announce the renaming of our Promise Landing Farm Scholarship to the Mike Howell Scholarship Fund. This fund will continue to provide financial assistance to individuals with disabilities who wish to participate in adaptive riding lessons at Promise Landing Farm. Mike's legacy of advocacy and compassion will live on through this fund, empowering more individuals to experience the transformative benefits of equine therapy.
